MCC Network Carbon Cleaning Provider Privacy Notice
Version: MCC-NCP-PRIVACY-2026-09-V2
Effective: September 2026
This notice explains how Meister Carbon Cleaners (Pty) Ltd (“MCC”) handles personal and business information connected with applications to, participation in and operation of the MCC Network Carbon Cleaning Provider Programme.
1. Information MCC may process
MCC may process applicant and provider information such as business and trading names, registration and VAT details, contact people, email addresses, telephone numbers, workshop/service locations, website details, equipment information and photographs, service areas, capabilities, bank/payment information, portal activity, referral records, invoices, payouts, quality information and communications.
2. Customer information referred to MCC by a Network Provider
Where a Network Provider sends a customer or business opportunity to MCC, the provider may submit information reasonably required for MCC to contact and assess the enquiry, such as the customer's name, telephone number, email address, location, vehicle information and service requirements. The provider must only share information it is lawfully entitled to share and must confirm through the portal that the customer has agreed to be contacted by MCC about the referred enquiry.
MCC may use that information to contact the customer, assess the opportunity, create or link an MCC CRM record, route the work to an appropriate MCC service channel, manage quotations, bookings and payments, record the referral source and calculate any applicable provider referral reward.
3. Customer information shared by MCC with the Network Provider
Where MCC sends an approved referral, the provider may receive information reasonably required to arrange and perform that service, such as customer contact details, vehicle details, registration, mileage, service requirements, booking information and relevant condition notes. Providers must use that information only for legitimate purposes connected with the referral or another lawful purpose.
4. Why MCC processes information
MCC processes programme information to assess applications, verify equipment and capability, administer portal access, match referrals, manage customer bookings and payments, calculate network fees and payouts, maintain service and quality records, investigate disputes, protect the network, meet legal/accounting obligations and communicate with participating businesses.
5. Marketing
Optional programme marketing consent is separate from information MCC needs to administer the business relationship. A provider may withdraw optional marketing consent without ending its programme participation.
6. Sharing
MCC may share information with the relevant provider, customer, payment or communication service providers, professional advisers, authorities where legally required, and other parties reasonably necessary to operate or protect the programme. MCC does not authorise providers to sell MCC customer information or use it for unrelated marketing without an appropriate lawful basis.
7. Security
MCC uses reasonable technical and organisational safeguards for programme records and portal access. Providers are independently responsible for protecting information in their possession, controlling access to their portal accounts and promptly reporting suspected unauthorised access or data incidents.
8. Retention
MCC may retain application, agreement, referral, financial, service and audit records for as long as reasonably necessary for the programme, contractual obligations, customer service, dispute handling, accounting, legal compliance and legitimate business records.
9. Access and corrections
Providers should keep their business and contact information accurate through the Operator Portal where available or contact MCC where a change requires MCC verification. Requests concerning personal information can be directed to MCC using its published business contact details.
10. Programme separation
Participation as an MCC Network Carbon Cleaning Provider does not make the provider an MCC employee, franchise or branch. Each independent business remains responsible for its own information-processing obligations for data it controls outside the MCC Network relationship.
